NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Zycron today announced that it has promoted its 2009 Employee of the Year Dennis Waggoner to Executive Vice President.
With 15 years of experience in the information technology industry, Waggoner’s new role of EVP will include managing all sales activity for Zycron’s five domestic offices of Nashville, Chattanooga, Memphis (all in Tennessee), Dallas, Texas, and Pittsburgh, Pa. He will also provide strategic direction to Zycron’s entire account management organization.
Previously, Waggoner was the vice president of sales for the international IT consulting firm. As VP of sales, he contributed his invaluable experience in managing large client contracts, and he coordinated all recruiting, consulting and project efforts on his accounts. Waggoner was promoted to VP of sales after five years of being on the Zycron sales team. He joined Zycron in 2003 as the sales director responsible for sales planning, strategy, business development and customer service.
Prior to Zycron, he gained experience in the IT industry as a recruiter and account manager at Systems Programming Consultants and Compuware, and as a sales director at Zion. He spent four years in the U.S. Navy, 10 years at the Federal Reserve Bank-Nashville and eight years with various companies in the IT services sector.
A graduate of Goodlettsville High School, Waggoner attended Tennessee Tech University where he played varsity baseball and earned a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems.
